Soft, delicate, and effortlessly chic—Buttermilk yellow is the shade taking over fashion this year, and I’m absolutely here for it. This dreamy, pale yellow has been quietly making its way onto runways, street style looks, and designer collections, proving that neutrals don’t always have to be beige or white. And don't get me wrong I love the basic neutrals but sometimes I want to experiment a little and a add a new life to my capsule wardrobe.
Buttermilk offers the perfect balance between understated elegance and fresh, modern femininity although some might disagree - It’s a color that feels both timeless and of-the-moment, making it the ideal shade to introduce into your wardrobe this season. It's a trend thats not in your face, but let's you take your outfits to the next level.

I’ll admit, yellow has never been my go-to color, but Buttermilk has completely changed the game for me. There’s something about its soft, buttery tone that makes it unexpectedly wearable and universally flattering. Whether styled in a monochrome look or paired with earthy neutrals, this shade exudes quiet luxury in the best way possible. Remember that there is soo many different shades of yellow, and that you might not get it right the first time but don't get discouraged, it took me a while too to find the perfect shade oy yellow for me. It helps if you understand your colour palate. To determine if a shade of clothing suits you, consider your skin undertones and then try colors that complement them, such as warm tones for warm undertones and cool tones for cool undertones.
The beauty of Buttermilk lies in its versatility. Paired with deep browns and soft caramels, it leans into earthy sophistication and can bring you into Autumn Season. Styled with crisp whites and muted greys, it becomes the epitome of modern minimalism and gives it that fresh Spring/Summer Look. Whether you embrace it in a monochromatic moment or as a subtle accent I think it's a colour that's worth experimenting with this season.
Spring is nearly here, but I’m writing this from sunny Thailand, where I can’t exactly enjoy all the seasonal fashion trends in the same way as I used to in Ireland. But the beauty of fashion is that I can still style these trends, experiment with them, and share them with you—which makes me so happy!
So, if I were back in Europe right now, here’s exactly how I’d be styling this effortlessly chic color for spring!

I would love to style it with my second favorite trend - Denim on Denim as an accent. The yellow in the bag and the top brings out the unique wash of the denim. It's a cool edgy day time look!

The monochrom moment! It gives of a luxurious vibe - I would love to wear it on my holidays in Italy.

I couldn't resist styling it with some brown! It nearly has more of an Autumn feel to it, but I would rock it in springtime too, just change the polo neck to a t-shirt!
